If you are looking for a tasty and healthy breakfast, you should try our spinach cheese omelette recipe. Spinach is an excellent way to strengthen your muscles. Results of a study (Karolinska Institute at the Swedish College of Medicine) have confirmed that Popeye’s spinach-based diet, which is aimed at building muscle, is absolutely suitable for this purpose. However, the spinach should not be canned. Instead, the green leafy vegetables should be consumed as fresh and unheated as possible.
For our spinach cheese omelette recipe we use frozen spinach. You can also use fresh spinach.
100 ml milk
some salt and pepper
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch cayenne pepper
some butter for frying
½ Pck. creamed spinach, TK
200 g greek Feta cheese or similar cheese
Preparation of the spinach cheese omelette
Put the eggs with the milk in a bowl and mix. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and cayenne pepper.
Heat the spinach in a pot and season with salt and pepper. If you like, you can fry the onions before adding the spinach.
Cut the feta cheese into pieces.
Heat butter in a frying pan and fill in 1/4 of the egg mixture. Fry on the underside. When the surface is still a little moist, spread the spinach and feta in portions on one half of the omelette and close it, place in a baking dish. Do the same with the remaining omelets.
Cook the filled omelettes in a preheated oven at 200 °Celsius for about 5 minutes until they are really hot and crispy, then serve.
