They are small, delicious and healthy. Shrimps are a real lucky find for our diet! Fortunately, the days when crustaceans were only served to rich people who lived near the coast are gone. Today, frozen shrimp is available in every grocery store. The demand is increasing, so a large part of the demand is now covered by farmed shrimp from aquacultures. These are strictly controlled and are in no way inferior in taste to their wild counterparts.
It is precisely the quantity of vitamins contained in shrimps that makes them so healthy: among other things, shrimps contain vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K as well as folic acid. Other ingredients include iron, iodine, calcium and magnesium. Shrimp also have a high protein content. And last but not least, the nutritional values of shrimp are excellent: very low fat content, many proteins.
